It was wonderful to attend the United Methodist Association of Preschools early childhood conference last month! Eight of our staff traveled to Leesburg, FL, for the conference which was held for the first time since 2020 (it had been canceled due to COVID). Lisa Hight, Kelly Forsmans, and Marylyn Berg all attended for the first time, along with veterans Pam McGoff, Jennifer Hopgood, and Victoria Tettey. Trinity’s very own Children’s Ministry Director, Candace Duclos, also attended with us and presented a session on how to use the fruits of the spirit to help with behavior in the classroom. Jennifer Hopgood presented a session titled “The Drama Train,” which focused on using drama in the classroom. I was fortunate to lead a pre-conference workshop for directors as well as facilitating two workshops throughout the conference. A good time was had by all!
