Hi! My name is Irene Gonzalez, and I am so excited to be serving as the Director of Youth Ministries here at Trinity! I grew up in Tallahassee, graduated from Florida State University, and have previously worked as an ER and ICU nurse (which means I work well in chaos). I realized that I wanted to work in ministry for the first time when I was in middle school and, over the last two years, God has worked in my life to make that dream possible.

One of my favorite verses is 1 John 4:19, “We love because He first loved us.” The most important lesson I learned while working as a nurse is that our relationship with Christ is the only thing that really matters. The way He loves us changes everything. My hope is that God will work through me and through our youth group to show that love to our church family, the Tallahassee community, and to whoever we meet wherever He takes us. I really can’t put into words how excited I am for this opportunity to worship and serve here at Trinity with you all!
