Do You Meet the Weekly Exercise Goal? BFC Ministry Can Help.
by Beth Curry, BFC Team Leader
Did you know February is American Heart Month? In order to keep your heart healthy, the American Heart Association recommends getting at least 150 minutes per week of moderate-intensity aerobic activity or 75 minutes per week of vigorous aerobic activity, or a combination of both, preferably spread throughout the week.
Do you meet this exercise goal, or do you need help? If so, consider joining one of the BFC (Becoming Fit at Church) Ministry exercise programs. BFC Exercise offers six weekly exercise classes, both in person and via Zoom. BFO (Becoming Fit Outdoors) meets weekly on Thursdays at 6:00 p.m. at Cascades Park during the winter for an hour-long walk (or shorter distance if you are just starting out). Taking just one BFC exercise class or walking with BFO once a week will make a big dent toward meeting the recommended AHA goal. And, you’ll have fun, fellowship, meet new friends, and get fit! Come give it a try!
All levels are welcome. Please check out the Trinity website or the bulletin board in the hallway by the Welcome Center for class description and details. Advanced registration is required for both. Please email BFCSeries@yahoo.com for registration information and forms.
